Current connections outline

Purpose: the author's purpose is to inform people on the situation, and explain the victims side of the story.
For the most part the author does accomplish his/her purpose.
Agreed with ideas: I agree that the law should not allow a child to spend time with their mothers rapist.
Disagree: i do not agree that the rapist is a father to the child just because it was his DNA that produced the child.
I don't understand why this is one the news, because it seems kinda personal and I don't know how that family would be okay with the country knowing their business.
Connection: Lovely Bones
Pay more attention to what I'm reading.

Responsibility of Life

The responsibility of life is very important due to the fact that it is life. If you were to have to choose between your life and someone else's then you should not think about just yourself.

In Titanic, when the boat crashed everyone was trying to save themselves and pushing people out of the way so that they can save their own life. This to me is selfish, and they should have tried to share the resources they had and helped as many people as possible survive from the brumal water.

In The Call of the Wild, Bucks loyalty to his owner John, is so strong that Buck risks his own life to save John's a couple times. When Buck was with John Thorton he went from a ferine animal to a more calm dog. One example is when John is drowning and Buck jumps into the rapid waters and lets John grasp on to him and they are both pulled back to the boat and survive. Also, John wanted to test  Buck, so he told him to jump off a cliff, and Buck was going to do it before John stopped him.

The responsibility of life isn't just to protect yourself. If you were given the chance to give your life for someone else, would you be willing to?

Two Ways Frankenstein Changed

Throughout the novel there were many changes. Though they may have not so important now, but they were a major part of the story. Eventually they added up to make a great change.

First, Frankenstein changed because he realized his love for Elizabeth was very strong, and that he wanted to marry Elizabeth. He knew he had always loved her but never realized how strong. Elizabeth ended up being killed by the monster on her wedding night. The monster did this to make Frankenstein more miserable than he ever could have by just killing Frankenstein himself. He wanted to take away what was most important to him first.

Second, Frankenstein changed in that he realized that creating life the way he did was wrong and immoral. Realizing that he became morose, which was unwonted for Frankenstein. He probably should have realized earlier but when he did he didn't create a female companion for the monster he had already created. The monster ended up killing Frankenstein for not doing that. His reason being that he was lonely and the monster felt as though Frankenstein had given him a life of misery.

Frankenstein changed a lot though the novel. They just were not very big and noticeable changes, but in the end they all added up to make very much difference in the story.

Essay Summary

In my essay I wrote about the things that set us apart as humans. Being human is not just as simple as having a heart, brain, and eyes. Being human has so many meanings.

First, I talked about how being human mean striving for perfection, and how we all have our flaws. Having flaws is just part of being human. Humans make mistakes, but we learn from those mistakes. I also talked about how our flaws and mistakes are what make us individual. We as humans have the ability to be unique.

Then, I talked about how having compassion is also part of being human. That means caring for others, making friends, and having relationships the way we do.

Last, I talked about how being human means having dreams and no limitations. We can accept things that cant be changed, but also we can have to courage to change things that can. Being a human means to trust in yourself as well as trusting in others.

Humans have the chance to make themselves better and to control their own life.

Reflect upon having completed 1/2 of your junior year.

Thoughts Upon Being a .5 Junior is that, I may not like school, but sometimes it really isnt that bad. My junior year has been harder then most, because of the classes I am taking.

My favorite memory so far was going to state with the football team. That doesnt happen very often, and i think i will remember it for the rest of my life. We may not have won, but it was still a very fun experience.

Something I would change in my senior year is all the drama. This year has been full of pointless drama, and i hope that next year wont be.

My goal for next semester is to get better grades to get my GPA up.
